Her Story

Jaclyn's ability to connect with people and understand others began early in her life. Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago in Rogers Park, a neighborhood filled with diversity in every facet of its definition. The language, religion, nationality, and culture changed every five blocks. This environment helped shape and nuture her authenticity, emotional intelligence, and intuition that lives at the very core of her being.

Her experience as an addiction counselor deepened her understanding of human behavior and the stages of change that we all move through in life. She recognizes that change is not a one-time process, but rather a series of trial and errors that can eventually translate to meaningful, successful results when one is supported and committed. Having a coach to support you as you ebb and flow through life, while keeping a pulse on your overall goal is what leads to sustainable and successful outcomes. It’s about creating a safe, non-judgmental space for people to explore what they truly want in life and the person they want to become.

Her extensive 14-year career as an executive assistant gave her firsthand experience into how leaders run their organizations, how they lead their people and how the teams they lead feel about their leadership. As a result, Jaclyn is adept at understanding how leaders think, make decisions at work and the affect they have on others. These skillsets make her equipped to coach leaders in any organization.

Her role as a talent development leader highlighted the intersection between her work as a counselor and a corporate professional.  Consequently, Jaclyn has the ability to help people see their blind spots, recognize their strengths and identify their shortcomings. She discovered that if you pay close enough attention, life will connect the dots for you.

Her experience in leading the implementation of an Inclusion & Diversity program for an organization was a venture that allowed Jaclyn to apply her combined experience, both personal and professional, to a corporate setting. Teaching others how to be inclusive and create a true sense of belonging, so we each have an opportunity to bring value to our organizations is truly Jaclyn’s passion.

Her Experience

Jaclyn believes that to be truly effective in helping others, it requires one to live a self-examined life themselves. Something she has done over the last 20 years and continues to do so. She has a professional coach, actively participates in therapy, and works a 12-step recovery program to maintain her 19 years of sobriety. Personal development is a lifelong journey that gets refined over time. All you need do is keep your foot on the gas.

All of Jaclyn's life experiences has made her a firm believer that with the right support, people are capable of extraordinary things, and they are their own greatest resource.  She has a passion for authenticity, vulnerability, and genuine human connection. She firmly believes that the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency that exists.

If you ask a person who they are, they will tell you what they do.  She hopes that by sharing her life experiences that have shaped her capabilities provides you with enough insight into who she is and what makes her qualified to coach you.
